The French Way of Doing Makeup

Continuing the list of cliches that surround us everyday about the French people, I decided to speak about the French way of doing makeup.

It is so popular that it even became a trend at one point in the makeup industry and continues to influence the way some people do their makeup. It’s almost like a signature French look, when you see it, you know it is the typical French makeup look.

But what are the things that make a look, the French look? Or you just have to be French to rock it and that’s it?

Well, my friends, I did a little research about what is commonly accepted as he French makeup look and after that I’ve made sure to pay attention each morning at all the women in the subway.

I can say one thing, they might be right. It is something specific and commonly shared between the French women.

After making some research and speaking with a couple of French girls that I have met here, in Paris, I realised that they pay more attention to their skin regimen rather than the makeup that they are using.

French women are all about that perfectly imperfect look but with good looking skin and a little bit of eye makeup. Nothing too crazy, they like to keep it simple.

The general idea of achieving the French look is that you have to have a glowing and healthy looking skin, with a little bit of mascara and the iconic red lip that French women love.
